Everyone Needs a Guide
I used to believe that if you were good enough, you could get anywhere on your own.
But over time, I realized that not every journey is meant to be taken alone.
In life, everyone needs a guide.
It could be a teacher, a mentor, someone with more experience, a friend, or simply someone who has already walked the road you are about to take.
A guide doesn’t have to hold your hand every step of the way. Sometimes, they simply help you see what you cannot yet see from where you stand.
They give you experience without forcing you to pay for every lesson yourself.
They show you the wrong roads before you take them.
And sometimes, the most valuable thing they give you is not an answer, but the right question.
I believe successful people are not those who never need anyone.
They are those who know who they can learn from.
Because no matter how talented we are, our perspective will always have limits. We cannot see the entire road when we are standing on only one part of it.
There are paths I once walked too far simply because no one told me:
“This road isn’t for you.”
And there were moments when my biggest steps forward began with someone saying:
“Go ahead. I believe you can do it.”
So if you are fortunate enough to meet a true guide in your life, value them.
And one day, when you have walked far enough, don’t forget to look back.
Because somewhere behind you, there may be someone standing at a crossroads, waiting for someone to show them the way.
Perhaps that is how one generation passes its light to the next.
A great guide doesn’t create followers.
They create people who will one day guide others.
